The rules are simple:

1. Post a specific quote or significant part of a line that will uniquely identify that movie.
2. Generic lines are inappropriate, such as "Good Morning" or "That's nice."
3. Don't post a complete dialogue. Just one character's line(s).
4. It doesn't need to be a whole line, as long as it's significantly identifiable.
5. No double posting back to back unless you give it a couple of days for it to be seen.
6. If, after 2 or 3 days, nobody guesses it, you can post the answer & a new quote.
7. If you're going to post, you need to follow the thread so you can respond when needed.
8. Whoever correctly guesses the movie containing the quote can then post their own. This must be confirmed by the original poster.
9. If the winner declines to post, or doesn't post for 2 days, it's open to anyone else.
10. Googlng for the answer IS allowed.

Rules 1 and 4 seem to contradict rule 3.

Pedant away. It's a nit to pick, but those are simply refinements of the main point, not contradictory at all. I don't see how you see them as contradictory.

Technically, yes. We should wait until she's verified that your answer is correct. I understand the impulse & I think we can all generally agree that you got it, but she should give you an official go ahead.
