Continuum

Rachel Nichols believes there could still be a fifth season of Continuum.

After prolonged negotiations, Showcase renewed Continuum for an abbreviated fourth and final season comprising six episodes, with production due to begin in March.

However, Nichols is “optimistic” that “perhaps this isn’t the end” of Continuum, and believes the time-travel drama has the legs to go beyond Season 4 at another network, per Digital Spy:

“I’d like to see the fourth season be such an incredible success that maybe we can get a little bit more out of it. Maybe there are some legs to it somewhere else and I think that the fans would be in support of that.

I know that we’re gonna do everything possible to make season four even more electric and thought-provoking than prior seasons, so of course I’d like to be optimistic and think that perhaps this isn’t the end.”

Nichols admits to being “disappointed” with the decision to end the series – which is envisioned as a 7-10 season story, but will take a shortcut to the original ending – but is “very grateful” for the chance to wrap up the story in a hopefully satisfying manner:

“I don’t want the story to end and I know there’s so much more to be told. But at least we’re being given a chance to give the show the proper end it deserves, and give the fans answers to at least some of their questions… I can’t promise that all of their questions will be answered!”

That being said, Nichols reiterates that while Continuum will end its time on Showcase, there are “years” worth of story yet to be mined:

“I know the show creator Simon Barry has so much more in his head that he could do with the show for years to come, but those aren’t the decisions that I get to make.

With Nichols’ optimism that Season 4 wont be the end and Barry hinting at a Continuum spin-off or extension of sorts, watch this space as the story continues to unfold…
Sad Lexa Doig Fan and PROUD of it!

My favourite too. Why they decided to end it is anybody's guess.

It was good in season one, got slow and seemed to bog down mid way or so into season 2 then just bored me into not watching it anymore...

Not sure if I'll even watch the ending...

I was pretty disappointed with the show after season one :?

Bummer. I was hoping it stayed good. I'll probably still finish the series sometime.
