Looks like Florida has a sheriff like Arizona has, "You kill a policeman it means no arrest...no Miranda rights...no negotiations...nothing but as many bullets as we can shoot into you...period." said Polk County Florida Sheriff, Grady Judd

An illegal alien, in Polk County, Florida, who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop, ended up "executing" the deputy, who stopped him.

The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. The murderer was found hiding in a wooded area.

As soon as he took a shot at the SWAT team, officers opened fire on him.

They hit the guy 68 times. Naturally, the liberal media went nuts and asked why they had to shoot the poor, undocumented immigrant 68 times.

Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel:
Spoiler Block
"Because that's all the ammunition we had."

Now, is that just about the all-time greatest answer or what!

The Coroner also reported that the illegal alien died of natural causes.

When asked by a reporter how that could be, since there were 68 bullet wounds in his body, he simply replied: (BEST QUOTE ever) .. ..

Spoiler Block
"When you are shot 68 times, you are naturally gonna die."

"Welcome to Florida, Y'all...

A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him.
He asked, "What are all those clocks?
St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move."
"Oh," said the man, "whose clock is that?"
"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."
"Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"
St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire Life."
"Where's Hillary Clinton's clock?" asked the man.
Spoiler Block
"Hillary's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."

Re: The Fog

Postby Fogdude » Fri Jul 29, 2016 4:29 pm

Apparently, God doesn't want me to go to WalMart today.

I normally only go to replenish frozen/cold goods, as I order everything else online.

This morning, my wife & I composed a list of the things I needed to get & I put myself together right after breakfast to get in early, & hopefully, avoid the crowds.

We have a fullsize van with a raised roof & a hydraulic lift, so my wife can get in on her power chair. The lift has LEDs & electronic eye sensors to make sure the lift is in the proper position for mounting & dismounting, so these lights & sensors are a constant drain on the battery. Given that, I use an Optima yellow top battery, which is designed for deep discharge use. It has enough amps to start the engine, but needs to be charged fully at every opportunity. To this end, I also have a battery minder wired into the van for charging the Optima when the van's not running, as well as the 2nd power chair in the van, that I use when I have to walk a long distance, at the destination.

We don't go out that often. The van is a 1992 Ford E150 & has a total of 74,000 miles on it. Most people in Houston would put that many miles on a vehicle in one or two years.

So, the van has been sitting in the driveway, with the battery minder plugged it, charging the batteries.

I went out this morning, unplugged the power cord to the van, got in, put in the key & got nothing. The battery is dead. I got out & traced the power cord back to the socket & found it had become unplugged, somewhere along the line. The battery minder also has LED lights on it, showing status, power, charging, etc. So, for four days, the van has been draining its battery running all these stupid LEDs, rather than being charged.

So, I pulled out my trusty battery trickle charger, hooked it up the the Optima battery, plugged it in, making sure it was really plugged into the wall this time & went back inside to give it an hour or so to charge it up. I closed the garage door.

An hour later, I went out to check on the status of the battery & found that when I closed the garage door, it pulled the power cord & unplugged the trickle charger! So once again, the battery was sitting there with no charging.

I plugged in the power cord again, made sure there was plenty of slack in the cord this time. Closed the garage door & now I'm sitting here, telling you about it.

Wish me luck. Maybe I can get to WalMart early tomorrow?

Well, if I wasn't such a lamebrain idiot none of this would have happened. I know I should check everything before I walk away, assuming everything's fine. I used to check the charging lights on the battery minder every time I plugged it in. This was the one time I didn't bother & this is what it got me. I deserved it. I won't do it again.

Success! Battery revived (that's why deep discharge/deep cycle batteries are a must.) Trip to WalMart successful, except I forgot to put summer sausage & frozen yam patties on the list. I DID get 3 more gallon buckets of vanilla ice cream, though. How else can I keep my girlish figure?

Yeah, freaky to say the least, lol

To come back to your successful trip to Walmart, is it wrong that I laughed when you said that the garage door pulled the power cord and unplugged the trickle charger?
