Well, that article I read predicted it would go this way, until the end, when all the last minute deciders jump in & tip it back to Remain. We'll see. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Leave, but I'm not holding my breath. (I'm kinda partial to breathing. It's become something of a habit.) ;)

The smaller areas are of course the first to return results which is what is happening.

The South of England hasn't returned a result as yet but typing this Basildon is returning now,

Remain 30,748
Leave 67,251

Leave now 52% in the results so far but still a drop in the ocean as yet.

British Politics is miles away from the US.

And now it begins, Cameron will step down as PM in October.

Germany has said it will still trade with us.

The £ has taken a hit on the markets (expected).

Scotland is preparing and will be pushing for a new referendum to leave the UK.
Will the EU still exist when it happens?

Troubled times ahead for Europe.

Congratulations. Now the 'birthing' pains begin. I know it shouldn't be anywhere near as traumatic as the media paint it, but there will be rough patches. I know it's the right way to go & I'm glad to see Brits had the stuff to do it. Now, make it work.

Reminds me of that quote from Benjamin Franklin, when asked by a woman as to what form of government the Founders had given the people & he replied, "A Republic, madam. If you can keep it."

Wow, that was amazing Pip how you had it detailed with updates! I didn't know anything about this, so that was a learning curve for me! I'm glad it's documented here as we still didn't see much of this here in Canada that I'm aware of. I find that Canadians are not that enthusiastically involved of what goes on in other countries' political goals like the good old US of A...
