I don't know what OS you use, but all you need is a simple voice recording, in any format. Just RAR it up & upload it as an attachment. We'll do the rest.

Windows has a built-in recorder that works fine. I don't use a Mac or Linux, but I have to believe they have similar capabilities.

I wasn't meaning to be snarky with that quote. I just don't have the admin scripting skills to provide you with anything useful.

Alright here is a script for you Vince:

My name is Vincent and I needed Chewy to write me a script, but unfortunately, she came up with nothing constructive, so here's a little bit about me ... (and that's when you come up with the rest).

:LOL :LOL :LOL

Good one Pip, that made me laugh! :LOL

Of course not. I openly admit I'm not a scripting admin. I used to write corporate software applications in Fortran, COBOL & many varieties of BASIC. I used to write procedures in JCL for obscure mini/mainframe systems. I used to write database systems in dBASE. I no longer write software at all. I don't write scripts, not even minimal batch files (remember those?) I just clicks da buttons, now.

STOP! You did my head in on Fortan.

I only look after the front end.

Back end is up to Ct and Vincent (I worry about those two) it's about time they came out. :LOL :LOL :LOL :LOL

Vincent, I owe you an apology. I totally misunderstood your request for a 'script.' You were kind enough not to point out how stupid & dense I was, but as my wife can attest, I always get it, eventually. Sometimes it can take awhile, but it does finally sink in. I guess I was tilted toward the technical/IT meaning of the word 'script' by your obvious position here as an admin. It was subliminal, but that stuff is powerful, sometimes. It took a few days of it stewing in the back of my mind for it to percolate back up with the correct connotation. I mostly do background processing.

You were apparently referring to a written 'script' to recite from. In that case, I'd be happy to cobble up something that you can fill in the blanks with your own specific details. Honestly, I'm blushing at my stupidity as I type this. I'll work up something by tomorrow & PM it to you.

No worries Fog. It was really meant as a joke. Chewy wrote a little something for me which I thought was quite funny. The best part was the talk about Scripts between you and Pip. I will get something done and posted soon.

Excellent, Vincent! I did enjoy, indeed! Thanks for playing along with this. I've really had a kick listening to each of you. Unlike Pip & Chewy, you actually sounded pretty much like what I imagined, though I detected no discernible accent. Thanks again! :)

It appears Pip & I share at least one attribute: We're easily sidetracked by technical discussions & shiny objects. :LOL :LOL :LOL
