Syfy’s take on Van Helsing follows the story of Vanessa Helsing, who comes from a long line of warriors who have been fighting vampires for centuries and finds herself resurrected.
The world she wakes up to is controlled by vampires after a catastrophic rising event, she has to lead the fight against them.
The series stars Kelly Overton as Vanessa, Jonathan Scarfe as Axel Miller, Christopher Heyerdahl as Sam, Paul Johansson as Dmitri, David Cubbit as John , Vincent Gale as Flesh and Tim Guinee as Ted.
The 13 episodes were produced for Syfy by Nomadic Pictures, who also created the excellent Fargo and Hell on Wheels.
With the great cast and the track record of the production company, we have high hopes for this one!
