What are your thoughts on this one?

I have this. Looks pretty good. but I can only play it for about 20 minutes before my video driver crashes. Need a new card but to install a card that is good enough I need a new power supply. really sucks.

you must have a really old system, but it does suck you'll need a new psu as well as GC, it really depends on how much you will use it as to if it is worth getting or not as buying both could work out expensive although there are some pretty good midrange cards out there for reasonable prices.

As for the game i been playing it for about a week now and it is funny, they seem to take care of themselves alot better in this one, ie your not forever telling them to eat and go to the bathroom and have a shower etc which is a big improvement, overall so far i'd rate this at about 8 out of 10. Its good as you can just play it when you get sort of 5 mins or you can be playing for hours but you need to be careful as you can be playing it for what seems like 5 mins but when you check the time hours have passed lol

System is only 2 years old. Only has a 305 watt power supply and even a midrage card requires a 400watt supply. I could do the upgrade for about $120.00 dollars if I buy new parts.

i dont know what your preferance is towards ATI or Nvidia but nvidia do a 59w version of there 9600gt which only requires a 300 watt psu, i have heard this is a good card and it should play all new games really, i dont know what you have at the moment.

have a look here at the 9600gt

Cool. I missed that. Best I could find the other day was the 9400Gt and the 8600GT. And it looked like the 8600 was a better card even though it was a 256 vs a 512.

ooooo you dont want a 9400 they crap for gaming, the 8600gts is a good card i used to have one, the 9600gt is about twice as powerful though. I'm not sure how hard it would be to find the 59 watt version for sale anywhere but its certainly a worthy card obviously depending on how much they cost, as if it works out to much you might as well get a psu and a newer card for a little future proofing, well as much as you can these days anyway

if I'm going to upgrade my psu then I might as well go with the 9800 cause it is only about 20 dollars more. haven't found the 59 watt version yet.

most website shops dont seem to mention the watt version it is but on the 59 watt one the clock speeds are slightly slower so this may be an indication, then you could always email the shop to find out which one it is and specify that its the 59 watt version you want to the shop before you buy then you can always get your money back if its the wrong one. yeah if you do have to change psu then you might as well get the best card you can and if its only an extra $20 dollars then its deff worth getting the 9800 over the 9600

Think my friend might have a power supply I can use. Going to get it tonight. Fingers Crossed.
