Actually it sounds like Foggy in a previous life.

"Frank Boardman "Pistol Pete" Eaton (October 26, 1860 –

April 8, 1958) was an American author, cowboy, scout,

Indian fighter, and Deputy U. S. Marshal for Judge Isaac

C. Parker. He was also known to throw a coin in the air,

draw and shoot it before it hit the ground."

I can do that so long as I don't have to hit the coin with the bullet.

Well I prefer to think of myself as being very proficient with drawing the gun and fully competent in the firing of it but then there is that questionable accuracy cloud hanging over the whole exercise, still a two out of three success rate sounds better than failure, lmao.

Two out of three seems reasonable until you see the third is the important one! Foggy will tell you when he comes along! :LOL :Beer

Well, I can't add much here, as Pip pretty much nailed me. I did sport a 12" handlebar mustache most of my life. I quit because it's just too much trouble & my favorite mustache wax manufacturer stopped making it. I tried to develop my own & it worked quite well, not only for waxing my mustache but it also turned out to be an almost perfect bullet lube for hand loading my own. I still have a couple of large tubs of it, since I haven't been able to shoot as much as I used to.

As to shooting a coin out of the air, I don't recall ever doing that, but I did once shoot the tobacco out of a cigarette without tearing the paper. I was shooting a single shot 22lr rifle at about 60 feet. I could barely see the cigarette, because its end was facing me & it was laid in the knothole of an outhouse door (unoccupied). A group of friends challenged me to hit it & one had a spotting scope, so he could see it clearly. When I fired, he laughed because the cigarette didn't even move & nothing hit the wood around it. They were all laughing about me being unable to hit the whole outhouse. That was, until we walked up to it & found just the empty paper, still laid in that knothole, but no longer with any tobacco or filter in it. We found the filter inside. And that day, a legend was born.

When I was still routinely going to a local shooting range, the range officers referred to me as 'Wyatt'.

So, you can see, those pictures aren't so far off. Well done, Pip.

You make it kind of hard to tease you about a mustache when it looks so good. You really look like quite the gentleman. :)
