This is based on the original Region 2 DVD cover for the theatrical version released way back when. This cover was superseded by other covers for other home media releases of this movie (the Bluray, the 2011 Director's Cut, the recent 4k UHD etc) but I always preferred this cover to all the others.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Limited Edition 4K set that came out earlier this year, but I'm actually not a huge fan of the graphics on the Limited Edition box, and the Limited Edition doesn't even come with a regular slipcover, and I intend to display the actual UHD box on my shelf with all my other UHDs - all of which have cardboard slipcovers, so I thought I'd fix two problems at once and design my own custom slipcover in the style of the original DVD.
I had to resize the "From the Director of The Crow" and the review text so they fit better on the 4K UHD size format. I also had to lower the cast text for the same reason and add the "4K Ultra HD" logo at the top. For the back cover, I used the back cover from the scan of the 14mm 4K UHD cover from this very website, but I moved the "They built the city..." text from the front cover to the top of the back, and I replaced the black background with a stock image of deep space.
As I said, I designed this as a custom card slipcover, and I'm aware this website doesn't actually feature slipcovers (would be awesome if it did), which is why I haven't uploaded it to the Gallery. But I do intend to convert this into a regular inlay cover and upload it to the Gallery at some point.
Right now I'd just like to ask what people think of it and some feedback if anyone has any.
As you can probably tell, this is actually my favourite movie of all time and it's always irked me that they ditched this cover after the initial DVD release. This is my way of rectifying that, even if I am the only one who ends up using it.
